BIO
Hi! I'm Blaine, a doctoral candidate in Management Science at the Columbia Business School. I study exciting topics like creativity, self-presentation, and entrepreneurship alongside scholars like Sheena Iyengar, Adam Galinsky, and Melanie Brucks.

I am fortunate to have had my research featured in academic journals, conferences, and several media outlets including The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Nautilus Magazine, and Fast Company Business News.

I have hands-on experience as co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of the startup Think Bigger, where I explored the practical side of creativity and innovation. Before business, I spent over a decade as a performing artist, appearing on 30 Rock, Law & Order, One Life to Live, and more.

When not working, I’m a doting doggy dad, an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader, and—if you’re still reading this—someone who keeps picking up new instruments. I rotate between three at any given time. Ask me which ones, and you’ll instantly be my friend.

Before all this, I earned a B.A. in Literature and the Liberal Arts from The New School and served as a Board Member of the 501(c)(3) GeeksOUT.
