BIO
Hi! I'm Blaine, a doctoral student of Management Science at the Columbia Business School. I study exciting topics like creativity, self-presentation, and evaluative judgment alongside scholars like Sheena Iyengar, Adam Galinsky, and Melanie Brucks.

I am fortunate to have had my research featured in academic journals, conferences, and several popular media outlets including The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Nautilus Magazine, and Fast Company Business News.
Outside of work, I am a loving doggy dad, a reader of sci-fi/fantasy, and a theater-goer. Before my life as an academic, I worked as a performing artist for over a decade, appearing in shows like 30 Rock, Law and Order, and One Life to Live; received a B.A. in Literature and the Liberal Arts from The New School in 2011; and was a Board Member of the 501(c)(3) GeeksOUT.
